(And we think we are so especial and unique...) :) those were some very vulnerable and honest words, some of the greatest characteristics of the best writers. Thank you for the beautiful text. I think vulnerability in writing as in life always allows real connections to happen. I am sure your little shell has been cracking out already. Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00818228481176294022noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3012555814443335054.post-23252237801449033382016-02-13T18:03:12.673-05:002016-02-13T18:03:12.673-05:00Thank you! ^_^

Not something that I've really considered before, but it makes sense.

And yes, you have indeed stood by me through a lot of my romantic misadventures haha. I really am hoping that now I'm becoming more ready to open up and stop running away. Even just thinking about it and writing about it helps the process, I feel.
Lynette Allcockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12225566293452319571noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3012555814443335054.post-47655968818113048072016-02-13T17:58:36.220-05:002016-02-13T17:58:36.220-05:00Thanks for letting me know! I made a similar move when my first crush asked me out and ended up breaking (if only briefly) the poor guy's young adolescent heart.

And, while I may have had something of the opposite problem after a certain point (too eager to jump into relationships without being completely ready for them), I found this relatable, as both of those behaviours (chronic hiding and seeking) are based on fear, I think.

Honest self-reflection isn't easy, so good for you. So do you think this means you might be willing to open up more in future romantic relationships?sarahsometimeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11496705491341205673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3012555814443335054.post-39354514887027711672016-02-12T18:32:50.482-05:002016-02-12T18:32:50.482-05:00Thank you for writing this.
